Background
Birse Rail Ltd occupy a number of floors within Lyndon House, Birmingham. During 2006 the
decision was taken to occupy another floor to accommodate a team of Directors and staff in
a modern working environment
Services provided phase 1
McCarthy &
Associates conducted a full survey and feasibility study of the existing building
space was fully surveyed. A detailed cost proposal and timing plan was provided. McCarthy
and Associates recommended project management services based on an “Open book”
partnership approach.
Services provided phase 2
As part of the project, McCarthy and Associates obtained building regulations approval using
their “Lantac” partnership with Coventry City Council.
Once layouts and specification were agreed, the works programme began. The existing office
was stripped out and refurbished, including upgraded M&E services, a new ceiling, lighting,
decoration, carpets, kitchen area and curved glass partitioning.
McCarthy and Associates provided all of the furniture
elements, including workstations, seating plus
“Plug In” power and Data to each workstation.
