Project: The establishment of a new Corporate Headquarters building, fitting out and
furnishing an existing Building
Expenditure: undisclosed
Timescale: 12 weeks
BACKGROUND:
In the early part of 2004, BMI Healthcare made a strategic decision to relocate
staff from London and a number of their other offices to a new head office in Watford.
After evaluating a number of companies, McCarthy and Associates Limited were chosen to plan, fit-out, and furnish the building.
SCOPE OF WORK:
The first phase of this project required the McCarthy design team to visit the site and fully survey the building. All services were detailed, including floor boxes, lighting
layouts, power/data, etc.
Drawings were submitted for building regulations approval; this
included DDA compliance, and was carried out under the “Fast Track” building
regulations Lantac agreement with Coventry City Council, Building Control.
PROJECT COMPLETION:
The project was completed on time which meant a phased moved by BMI staff could commence in December 2004.
The staff are delighted with the new facility, and as a result McCarthy Associates
have been invited to tender for further projects.
