BACKGROUND:

Coram Showers wanted to refurbish the existing works canteen facility and provide a better, more comfortable environment for their staff. McCarthy and Associates design team provided initial designs/layouts to create a new canteen facility.

SERVICES PROVIDED :

McCarthy & Associates provided the following range of services, over two phases :

Phase 1
This Involved an initial feasibility exercise during which the existing canteen space was fully surveyed. Coram Showers then received a space plan with a proposed layout for the new canteen and its facilities.

The refurbishment specification was developed with Coram to provide new flooring, lighting, furniture, and Internet facility, and also provision for new decoration, doors and extraction.

Phase 2
Once the layouts and specification were agreed, the works programme began. This provided for a refurbishment of the existing canteen, including M&E services being upgraded, a new ceiling, new lighting, re-decoration, new doors, wood effect vinyl flooring, and the provision of all new loose furniture.

McCarthy and Associates provided all of the furniture elements, including soft seating, canteen tables and chairs, screening, and an internet facility for staff.
