BACKGROUND:

TNA Europe is part of an Australian based company that specialises in designing and building packaging machinery for clients within the food industry. Founded 10 years ago, their rapid growth in markets both in the UK and Mainland Europe created the need for a brand new purpose-built European Headquarters facility, which would be located in Birmingham.

Company Architect at TNA Europe, Natasha Taylor developed the concept and McCarthy & Associates Sales and design team worked closely with her to develop a new corporate office layout.

SCOPE OF WORK:

From a very detailed design brief and space planning concept provided by Natasha, the McCarthy design team provided detail planning for approximately 50 office staff, to create an open plan environment with a very modern aesthetic to reflect the TNA team culture. The design team worked with Natasha to ensure that all elements of the office interior were coordinated to provide a consistent finish throughout.

OFFICE DESIGN:

A new standard workstation unit was designed specifically for TNA’s requirements. This allowed staff within an open plan environment to each have their own meeting facility but also encouraged the team to interact.

Storage is utilized between workstations and allows for staff to have their own personal storage situated easily to hand. Seating was evaluated, selected and specified to provide a single status to all staff of different levels and grades.

Breakout areas within the main open plan space allow staff to hold informal meetings and provide a focal point in the space.

Boardrooms and meeting rooms were planned and a staff rest room was created. The McCarthy Contracting team were brought in to create a new reception area with marble flooring and a new reception counter. Lighting was also redesigned to reflect the fresh corporate image and also provide a consistent finish.

The overall result is a stunning office interior, which reflects both the informal team working of TNA, but also the dynamic approach to their market that this company takes.
