McCarthys delivered a two-phase refurbishment and fit-out project, transforming multiple disused areas into high-quality, functional teaching and training facilities.

Phase 1 comprised the conversion of a redundant section of the college into a new reception area. Works included upgrades to existing floors, walls and ceilings to improve insulation and significantly enhance thermal performance. The space was completed with new partition walls, a curtain-walled entrance incorporating an automatic door system.

Phase 2 initially involved the conversion of a large, multi-bay barn into three substantial workshop areas for hands-on student training. During the programme, the scope expanded to include the conversion of an additional disused area into new SEN classrooms and office accommodation. This required substantial structural upgrades, installation of new floors, walls and ceilings, secondary glazing and multiple specialist finishes.

McCarthys delivered an exceptional end-to-end solution, combining strong design insight with high-quality build and fit-out execution. Their team was professional, responsive, and genuinely collaborative throughout the process, ensuring the project was delivered to a high standard and on schedule. What really sets McCarthys apart is their attention to detail and their ability to turn ideas into practical, well-finished spaces. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them for any project.
